As I said on the podcast, the fun of being a Mac lover is trying out great new software and I have to admit that some of the programs on the lists I’ve gotten are ones I’ve never looked at before. 5. SubEthaEdit - Free for noncommercial use A text editor with colorized syntax for a variety of languages.
Similarly:
TextMate - $50 A Supposed BBEdit killer, has many more features than SubEthaEdit and
is more expensive, but is a lot cheaper than BBEdit (and Cocoa) without all of BBEdit’s bloat.
6. Adium - Free/Open Source
Instant messaging with multiple protocols.
7. SuperDuper - $20
Backup software with “smart backup.”
8. Vault - Free/Open Source
Securely store passwords etc…
9. Goldberg - Free
A simple and lightweight image editor.
10. Deep Notes - Free
A very lightweight and clean outliner, not too many features, but I don’t need many features.
