Mac Review Cast

AKA Broadcast, I miss you so much.

New record Creatures of an Hour is out now on Sub Pop and also wins a spot on my David Lynch radio show. (Although it is hard not to think of Broadcast and the Cranes too)

This S/T record came out mid May on Drag City yet I somehow missed it. I am a bit embarrassed to admit I came across a review of the record when Googling news on Trish Keenan, the singer of Broadcast who passed away in January of this year (what can I say, I still think of her often).

I 100% agree with any comparisons drawn between Bachelorette and Broadcast plus as the extra nerd bonus, there is a Bjork song that shares the name Bachelorette title as well. I am reminded of Ladytron too, another positive in my book. This is a win all around for a gal like me who likes, no LOVE, all of these artists.

I am listening to their 1969 Soundtrack and thinking Broadcast has to be into this band. John Peel's label Dandelion released it originally and it looks like Cherry Red reissued it.
