Mac Review Cast

My heart ached to read that Cynthia Dall passed away this week. Her musical style has been a big influence on my more recent solo material and I was truly looking forward to hearing new material from her that was rumored to be in the making. Nobody could musically marry dreamy and nightmare better than she could.

This S/T record came out mid May on Drag City yet I somehow missed it. I am a bit embarrassed to admit I came across a review of the record when Googling news on Trish Keenan, the singer of Broadcast who passed away in January of this year (what can I say, I still think of her often).

I 100% agree with any comparisons drawn between Bachelorette and Broadcast plus as the extra nerd bonus, there is a Bjork song that shares the name Bachelorette title as well. I am reminded of Ladytron too, another positive in my book. This is a win all around for a gal like me who likes, no LOVE, all of these artists.
