I don't care if you aren't into opera.

THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.

"André Chénier, the most famous work by the Italian composer Umberto Giordano, is brought to life for the Opera on the Lake floating stage of the 2011 Bregenz Opera Festival in Bregenz, Austria by stage designer David Fielding under the artistic direction of David Pountney"

  1. THIS is what Kanye West wishes his live-show set was. Trust me. We saw him in Sweden this summer and he was going for something like this...but didn't quite get there. He's got to ditch the ballerinas and pick up one of these gigantic retractable heads.

  2. This blows my mind on so many levels. The retractable head. The moving knife in the chest. The added dimension of people falling into water or arriving in boats. The framing / use of the mirror - people hanging themselves? Humans scaling out of the eye to look like tears. a plot unfolding in an open book. The list goes on and on. F Kanye, apparently Fielding under the artistic direction of Pountne is where its at, ha!
