This week on our radio show Cause and Effect (WRIR 97.3 fm - Thursday - from 7PM to 9PM) we will trace the roots of the band UK band Broadcast.
We will begin by playing some of their 60's influences and sound alikes (United States of America, Al Stewart, Elephant's Memory, Morricone) as well as bands in their peer group (Stereolab, Pram), and new bands that sound influenced by Broadcast (The Projects, Mahogany, Au Revoir Simone, Jes Suis Animal) while all the while playing tracks from Broadcast's discography.
