Manhattan Love Suicides

Named after a short film collection by Richard Kern , Manhattan Love Suicide are a UK female fronted five piece whose guitar tones and tempo borrow heavily from early MBV and Jesus & Mary Chain while the vocals remind me of early Velocity Girl or Black Tambourine.

They have recently released a limited 4 song 7" single on Lost Music Records and this blows away anything the band has recorded to date. If there is a record to own by the band - this is it. (I ordered it from Rough Trade)

Here is a video for the lead song of this EP "Keep it Coming". I will have to admit the look of the band is a little disappointing but then again if musically a band is mirroring an already beaten to death sound (but one I love dearly) why not wear the uniform as well.
